Some customer asked us,
Since we use powder coating method, shall we skip the stator coil varnish dipping process?
The answer is no!
Powder coating improve the insulation, prevent fixed coil from moisture, loosening and corrosion.
The most important purpose is preventing from corrosion,
Powder coating is very economical and environmentally friendly. It is recyclable (powder that doesn't hit the part may be reused if clean).
Many high speed motor such as power tool manufacturers may realize that hundreds of thousands of coil failures have occurred during the last decade from corrosion. The cause is most typically environmental pollutants, which range anywhere from salt-air, dust,to household cleaning agents, pesticides, formaldehydes, building materials, and even off-gassing of food. Each of these contaminant sources can initiate corrosion in coil tubing in a year or less when the conditions are right.
Epoxy coatings are generally the cheapest of available coatings. Epoxies, developed in the late 1920s, are known for their excellent chemical and heat resistance, for high requirement products, the plant use Akzo Nobel powder.
