How to check the welding quality for a electric motor commutator hot staking?
For a welded armature, if the welding resistance is smaller , the result is better.
There are several parts related to the commutator welding quality, the welding resistance,the welding fastness,welding appearance.
One direct and easy way is using a plier to remove the connection, for the hook type commutator,
the commutator copper surface and hook is fully fused,
The other way is workable with a testing machine, it can test the welding resistance, bar to bar resistance.
Usually for Welding machine with AC power supply, the welding resistance can achieve about 0.3,while with DC power supply, 0.1
