Single phase BLDC motor

Single phase brushless DC motor are used in the low power range of applications,such as ceiling fan, ventilator as their simplicity and low cost.

For single phase BLDC motor, the interaction between the flux components produced by the winding current and permanent magnets result in the production of excitation torque.Since flux linkage is proportional to inductance,the ability to characterization in the calculation of winding inductances is critical and important.
