The difference between armature windings

For armature winding machine, the popular device is double flyer winding machine which wind the armature lap windings both side to achieve a better balancing result.

There are different kinds of commutator in armature design, one type is hook type widely used in mixer, blender, vacuum cleaner, drill motors, the other type is riser type also called  slot type commutator used in blades.
